Accessibility at KU
The AAAC works with all units at the University to insure that every student has an equal opportunity to succeed at KU. We are here to help you whether your disability is physical, medical, sensory, psychological, or related to attention or learning.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was a major legislative accomplishment for the United States and
Senate Leader Bob Dole. To prepare for the 25th anniversary of this important legislation, the Dole Institute
of Politics at the University of Kansas has been provided with financial support from GE for two funded
paid internships to be awarded to students with disabilities (one Archive and one Administrative internship).
The interns will gain work experience playing an active role in the day-to-day operations of the Dole Institute
and will serve on the planning committee for the 25th anniversary celebration to be held in 2015.
